Chairman of the Federation of Consumer Rights Protection Societies of Uzbekistan Jahongir Sarimsokov met with Elena Wolff, Adviser to Director General of Consumers International in London on 8 July.
During the meeting, the prospects of cooperation with this international organization and the federation were discussed. J. Sarimsokov emphasized the importance of cooperation with international consumer organizations in the improvement of consumers’ rights protection in Uzbekistan.
Elena Wolff, International Consumer Organization, said that it currently focuses on the implementation of projects in the regions. She believes that the organization can cooperate with consumer organizations in implementing projects aimed at addressing the challenges facing consumers in the Central Asian region.
The delegation of the Federation will meet with the leadership of the International Consumer Organization this week to discuss the issues of cooperation, as well as take part in the conference of the British Standards Institute for Experts on Standardization of Consumers’ Organizations.
